What are the Best Lenovo Laptops?

Can you believe that it was 10 years ago that IBM stopped making ThinkPad laptop computers?

Well fortunately, the brand is still alive, thanks to Lenovo.  The Lenovo Company used to be called “Legend” and is a Chinese computer manufacturer which has taken over the rights to the marquee brand of ThinkPad laptops. Not content to roll out the same old products, Lenovo has continued to innovate with new designs such as the hinge mechanism in their 2-in-1 convertible laptops. Popularly known as the Lenovo Yoga, this revolutionary portable and flexible laptop has spawned an entirely new laptop niche and has influenced other laptop manufacturers to expand their product ranges in order to keep up. Lenovo’s pioneering designs were so popular that other major laptop manufacturers like HP, Dell, and Toshiba have released systems using a similar convertible hinge.

Lenovo will continue to be an influential player in the Laptop market for the foreseeable future, and strongly competitive amongst the other major brands such as Acer, Asus, HP, Dell, and Toshiba. Apart from the niche designs and innovative ideas, Lenovo have the following major brand items:

  • IdeaPads

  • ThinkPads and

  • Yoga laptops

Lenovo ThinkPad Laptops

In keeping with the IBM tradition of business oriented computer devices, the ThinkPad brand line is aimed providing sturdy and powerful machines for business oriented buyers. These ThinkPads are focused on high output from the latest technology processors coupled with a good supply of RAM. These machines have been designed to allow ample performance of business software, the ability to run several applications at once and a good all round multi-tasking capability. Nothing has changed here – ThinkPad retains its reputation for high end solid performance.

Lenovo IdeaPad Laptops

Lenovo IdeaPads are aimed mainly at consumers, who require flexibility, portability and creativity. Indeed, as the name suggests, the Lenovo IdeaPad range is designed with the full range of multi-media tasks in mind and these machines provide a stunning visual output, with high resolution graphics, capacity for photo and video editing, and all round performance so that the user can apply their own sense of creativity whilst they work (or play).

Lenovo 2 in 1 Convertible Laptops

The 2 in 1 convertible laptops make up the range of hybrid devices that allow the user to operate as either laptops or tablets. The Lenovo Yoga range of laptops revolutionized the 2-in-1 convertible laptop niche. Yoga laptops flip their touch screen over into four modes: conventional Laptop mode, video streaming Stand mode, game playing Tent mode, and reading oriented Tablet mode. As described earlier, the pioneering designs by Lenovo were so influential that other major PC manufacturers like HP, Dell, and Toshiba have released similar convertible laptops.
